Get into the 'howl-iday' spirit at Jingle Paws

Bring your pup and jingle all the way to the Schaumburg Park District's Jingle Paws.

The event will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way.

Jingle Paws features a variety of holiday festivities for four-legged friends and their humans. Activities include a treat hunt, agility course, photos with Santa and a costume contest.

Awards will be given for Best Dog/Owner Look-a-Like Costume, Best Senior in Costume, Best Puppy in Costume, Best Overall Holiday Themed Costume and Best Recreation Interpretation Costume. The first 50 dogs to register will receive a holiday treat.

"Jingle Paws is a unique event with a fun holiday atmosphere," said Mike Wold, Meineke manager. "Participants love taking festive photos with their pups and Santa."

All dogs must have current shots. Vaccination records must be attached to the registration form or brought to Meineke.

Cost for residents is $2 per person and $5 per dog. Cost for nonresidents is $3 per person and $7 per dog.
