Nicholls State, Louisiana Tech players win LSWA honors

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Strong performances in narrow victories by Nicholls State and Louisiana Tech earned their players the nod from the panel of Louisiana Sports Writers Association voters for this week's state football players of the week.
On offense, Tobias Lofton of Nicholls rushed for 147 yards and a score, while special teamer Francisco Condado kicked a 40-yarder as time expired to give Nicholls a 27-24 win over Southeastern Louisiana.
A career high 11 tackles helped Vontarrius Dora of Louisiana Tech to defensive honors after the Bulldogs' 17-15 win at UTEP.
