Police: Huntley man sent inappropriate messages to minor

A Huntley man is facing felony charges after police said he sent inappropriate messages to a minor.

Kristopher W. Hein, 24, of the 10000 block of Sawgrass Lane, was charged with grooming and indecent solicitation of a child, according to a news release from Lake in the Hills police.

A Lake in the Hills mother reported Nov. 17 that her 15-year-old daughter was receiving "possible" inappropriate social media messages, texts and phone messages from her former tumbling coach, officials said.

Police investigated the complaint, and Hein was charged, officials said. He turned himself in at 3:21 a.m. Tuesday.

Hein was released from the McHenry County jail later that day after posting $2,000 bail, according to sheriff's records. He will appear in court Monday, according to court records.
