Kenneth Young Center holds Mt. Prospect open house

The Kenneth Young Center, a social service agency based in Elk Grove Village, held an open house last week for its new Mount Prospect location, which provides a variety of skill-building services for seniors and adults with mental-health issues.

The center is on the ground level of Myers Place, 1585 Dempster St., a residential development for people who have mental illness, but can live independently. The Kenneth Young Center provides support services on site for Myers Place residents.

The center houses clinical offices, the community support team, extended child and adolescent services and a drop-in center. The facility is funded in part by the Illinois Department of Human Services.
