Glenbard East craft show proceeds will help newborns

Glenbard East High School's Key Club invites you to shop for the holidays at their 2nd annual craft and vendor show on Saturday, Dec. 5. The show will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 5 in the cafeteria at Glenbard East, 1014 S. Main St. in Lombard.

Key Club will donate all proceeds to UNICEF and the Eliminate Project. Through the Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF are partnering to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Neonatal tetanus kills one baby every nine minutes-nearly 60,000 newborns every year. A significant number of women also die because of maternal tetanus. The effects of the disease are excruciating -newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to touch and light.

With more than 35 crafters and vendors at the show, you're sure to find something wonderful for all the amazing people in your life. Don't miss this special event!
