Rosemont's Donald Stephens statue to be unveiled on Father's Day

Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens said he is planning for a Father's Day (June 19, 2016) unveiling of the statue being built of his dad, Donald Stephens.

The statue will be placed atop a cascading waterfall, which is being built outside the east-side entrance of the village hall building at 9501 W. Devon Ave.

Donald Stephens was Rosemont's mayor from the town's incorporation in 1956 until his death in 2007.

A campaign is underway to raise funds for the cost of the statue, estimated to be $300,000.
