Falcons' Freeman has concussion, won't return against Colts

ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman has a concussion and will not return to Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Freeman had 43 yards rushing in the first quarter, including a 39-yarder, before he was escorted to the locker room. Rookie Tevin Coleman took over at running back.

Minutes later, the Colts announced Frank Gore left the game with a quad contusion. He returned in the second quarter.

The Colts also are without starting quarterback Andrew Luck because of a lacerated kidney and a partially torn abdominal muscle sustained during a Nov. 8 victory over Denver.
