CLC art exhibit

"China: Foreign Reality," a new exhibit by six College of Lake County art professors, is on display at CLC's Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art, on the Grayslake campus at 19351 W. Washington St., through Jan. 10. The exhibit includes a variety of artwork by David Bolton, Terry Dixon, Hans Habeger, Robert Lossmann, Roland Miller and Erick Rowe, who traveled to China in 2014 for a cultural exchange funded by a U.S. State Department grant. The faculty shared American culture through the arts by lecturing and showing artwork at three Chinese universities. The exhibit features more than 20 artworks reflecting the artists' impressions of an emerging "super nation." Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; closed Sundays. For information, call the Communication Arts, Humanities and Fine Arts division at (847) 543-2040.
