Museum selling Arlington Club Beverages

The Arlington Heights Historical Museum is bringing back a village favorite - Arlington Club Beverages - just in time for the holiday season.

The handcrafted sodas will follow the original recipes used by the Sass and Brother manufacturers in 1872, and will come in lemon, strawberry, ginger ale and sarsaparilla. The drinks will be available for sale at the historical museum gift shop with all proceeds benefiting the museum.

Sass and Brother was started by Louis H. Sass and his half-brother F.W. Müller in 1872 at their bottling works location at 116 S. Dunton. In 1964 the business moved to Mount Prospect and it changed hands several times. By the late 1980s it was owned by Richard Vandenbark, who offered 33 flavors, but he declared bankruptcy in 1991.

The historical museum is bringing back the Arlington Heights classic drinks for sale starting Friday.
