Bensenville President Frank Soto Presents at N.O.I.S.E. Policy Summit

Bensenville Village President Frank Soto appeared before government officials, leading aviation officials, researchers and mitigation experts at the National Organization to Insure a Sound Controlled Environment (N.O.I.S.E.) annual Policy Summit and Community Involvement Workshop in Nashville, Tennessee on November 4th, 2015.

This event is a premier opportunity for local government officials and other aviation noise mitigation stakeholders to interact directly with leading aviation officials, researchers, and mitigation experts to gain knowledge and information that will directly benefit their communities.

"The Village of Bensenville is actively working to find and implement measures to reduce airplane noise caused by O'Hare Airport" stated Village President Frank Soto "Our goal is to continue to find solutions and implement those solutions as soon as possible to improve the quality of life for our residents. The annual N.O.I.S.E. Policy Summit is a great opportunity to collaborate and find these new solutions."

President Soto also is serving as one of nine members selected to be on the O'Hare Noise Compatibility Commission (ONCC) Ad Hoc Fly Quiet Committee to review and recommend modifications to the airport's night time noise abatement program, whose goal is to provide relief to residents dealing with night time airplane noise.

The Village of Bensenville is continuously working to achieve certain airport related goals such as:

• Expedite full OMP buildout to better distribute flights around O'Hare

• Keep the diagonal runways open for better flight distribution

• Enforce the Fly Quiet Program and prevent night flights over residential homes

• Expand residential sound insulation
