Season outlook: The Warriors move in a new direction under first-year coach Andy Zielinski, who replaces retired IBCA hall-of-famer Bruce Firchau. Westminster Christian graduated four of the top six players in the rotation from a team that won 23 games and a regional championship, but the new coach inherits an All-Area guard in 6-foot-1 senior Dillon Rejman. Last season he averaged 12.8 points and sank 80-plus 3-pointers to finish with 700 career points. Not only does Rejman drain 3-pointers at a 43.9-percent clip, he led the area last season by shooting 88 percent from the free-throw line. Junior Scotty Graziano (6.7 ppg) is the next leading returning scorer, followed by 6-5 center Brad Barker (4.6 ppg) and guard Noah Anderson (2 ppg). Westminster's new coach said his team was inconsistent in summer-league action and will need the younger players to step up if the Warriors intend to win consistently, which remains a program goal. "We are rebuilding but looking to continue the tradition coach Firchau has built over the past 10 years," Zielinski said. "Our primary goal is to continue the string of (nine) winning seasons at Westminster."
