• Vandals shot BB-gun pellets around 8:45 a.m. Nov. 10 that damaged a front entrance light cover and second-story window at a house on the 1000 block of Sycamore Lane.

• Thieves stole a cellphone around 6 p.m. Nov. 9 out of a gym locker on the 700 block of West Schick Road.

• A vandal broke a car window overnight Nov. 5-6 at a house on the 1200 block of Deerpath Court.

Elk Grove Village

• Thieves stole a 2000 Huyurta flatbed trailer between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 out of a lot at Ross International, 1239 Mark St. Value was estimated at $40,000.

• Thieves stole a diamond ring around 8 a.m. Oct. 25 out of a jewelry bag on a dresser in a guest room at a hotel, 1000 Busse Road. The victim was staying there after a wedding. Value was estimated at $11,500.

• A vehicle ran into a stop sign between Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 at Fern Drive and Ridge Avenue. Damage was estimated at $500.

Hanover Park

• Vandals slit two tires around 4:47 a.m. Nov. 10 at Arlington and Catalina.

• A vandal shot BB-gun pellets into an upstairs window around 4:12 p.m. Nov. 10 at a house on the 6200 block of Kit Carson.

• Vandals drove into a chain-link fence Nov. 9 at Springwood Middle School, 5540 Arlington.

• Thieves stole jewelry Nov. 7 out of a house on the 6200 block of Kit Carson. Value was estimated at more than $500.

Hoffman Estates

• A mom and her two juvenile children encountered three burglars when they returned home. The burglars entered the house around 7 p.m. Oct. 21 on the 4000 block of Tamarack Drive North. When the residents returned around 7:13 p.m., they saw lights on the second floor. When the mom unlocked and opened the front door, she saw one burglar standing at the top of the stairs. She yelled at the offender and saw two more burglars upstairs. They ran out a rear sliding glass patio door.

Streamwood

• Mikita Dziamchuk, 19, of the 500 block of Stone Gate Circle, Schaumburg, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Schaumburg police department and charged with trespass to vehicle by Streamwood police. Officers found stolen items including medications, gym shoes, and phone charger taken out of cars on the 100 block of Red Cedar Drive, Streamwood, reports said. Schaumburg officers had stopped his car on Weathersfield Way for driving on a flat tire and arrested him for DUI, reports said.

• Thieves stole a wallet with cellphone, $40, credit cards, gift card and driver's license around 4:30 p.m. Oct. 30 out of a shopping cart at a store on the 1000 block of South Barrington Road.

• Vandals put 10 scratches on all sides of a 2007 Chevrolet Blazer between 6 p.m. Oct. 30 and 5 p.m. Nov. 1 in an apartment lot on the 1800 block of McKool Avenue.
