Naperville North presents Robin Hood with a twist

A legendary tale will come with a twist when the Naperville North High School Performing Arts Center presents the children's play "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood" in December.

In Sherwood Forest, a dashing narcissist with a heart of gold aided by his not-so-smart, but loyal followers, the Merry Men, steal from the rich and give to the poor. A plotting prince and his scheming sheriff are outdone by Robin and his leading lady, with the help of the Town's Guy, who manages to make his way into every scene whether he's wanted or not. The laugh-out-loud retelling of the classic promises to take audiences on an unforgettable journey through Sherwood Forest.

Performances are 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, with reception following; 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5; and 2 p.m. Dec. 6, in the North Performing Arts Center in the school, 899 N. Mill St., Naperville.
