Renz Center joins Global #GivingTuesday movement
Renz Addiction Counseling Center has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
To further strengthen the campaign locally, the Grand Victoria Foundation announced they will match all electronic individual donations to Renz Center made on #GivingTuesday's Dec. 1.
To make a tax deductible contribution, community residents can go to Renz Center's website at www.renzcenter.org. All proceeds benefit individuals in treatment and prevention education programs for area teens.
"Our community has a strong philanthropic spirit," said Renz Center's Executive Director Jerry Skogmo. "Electronic donations combined with the Grand Victoria Foundation's matching support helps to ensure the Center can provide substance abuse treatment to individuals in our community who need it most."
#GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to help kick off the holiday giving season. #GivingTuesday was created to inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
