Burlington Central reaches triple digits vs. Crystal Lake Central

Burlington Central's girls basketball team got its season started with a bang Tuesday, scoring a school-record 111 points in a 111-38 win over Crystal Lake Central at the Rockets' Thanksgiving tournament.

Madison Hodgson led the way for BC off the bench with 25 points, while Western Illinois recruit Sam Pryor scored 21, Kayla Ross 17, Becca Gerke 15 and Shelby Holt 12.

After the game, Ross signed to play at Olivet Nazarene next year, while Holt inked a National Letter of Intent to play at Quincy University.

Batavia 48, Warren 24: The Bulldogs opened their season with a win at the Trinity Tournament.

Batavia doubled the final score and also doubled it at halftime, up 26-13. Hannah Frazier led all scorers with 17 points and had 6 rebounds. Bethany Orman chipped in 5 points, 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 rebounds. Shea Bayram added 6 points, Emily Lasse 6 rebounds, Morgan Erickson 4 steals and Mackenzie Foster 4 points as 9 Bulldogs scored.

St. Edward 47, Westmont 34: The Green Wave (1-0) jumped to a 13-3 lead after one quarter and didn't look back. Madelyn Spagnola led St. Edward with 17 points including three 3-point baskets, and Katelyn Castoro scored 13.

Jacobs 48, Woodstock 46: Carly Sidor scored 12 points, Kerri Healy and Emily Anderson both had 11 and Teaghan Richman added 7 for Jacobs.

Hampshire 50, Christ the King 35: Emma Benoit (17 points), Rachel Dumoulin (12 points) and Nikki Dumoulin (11 points) all reached double figures as Hampshire (2-0 overall) won its first game at the Hoffman Estates Tournament.

Aurora Christian 65, Chicago U-High 13: Sami Hultine led the Lady Eagles with 18 points and 4 assists in play at the IMSA/Aurora Christian Tournament. Freshman Tori Henning scored 17 points and added 8 rebounds. In her return from an ACL injury, Kirsten Madsen added 14 points.

Aurora Central Catholic 39, Seneca 30: Tied 17-17 at halftime, the Chargers (1-0) outscored the Lady Irish 22-13 in the second half to win at the Tim Hume Tournament in Somonauk. Junior Taylor Harazin led Aurora Central with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 8 blocked shots. Junior Shakira DelToro had 8 points and Alex Johnston and Veronica LaVia both chipped in 6.

Stevenson 50, St. Charles East 37: The Saints dropped their season opener at the Schaumburg Thanksgiving Tournament. Sara Rosenfeldt led the Saints with 16 points and Sam Munroe scored 14.

Rosary 66, IMSA 13: Don Rasich got his first win on his first try as the new Royals coach at the IMSA/Aurora Christian Tournament. Aubrey Fisher led Rosary with 14 points and Jess Gosong scored 12 as all 10 Royal players scored.

Oswego East 76, West Aurora 40: The Blackhawks (0-1) lost on the road Tuesday despite a team-high 14 points from senior guard Carly Frauenhoff.
