Arlington Heights village manager gets raise

Arlington Heights Village Manager Randy Recklaus received a raise from the village board Monday, after his first year on the job.

The board unanimously approved a 2.5 percent raise for Recklaus as part of the consent agenda at Monday's meeting.

Recklaus started as village manager in November 2014, with a base salary of $180,000 per year. The raise brings his salary to $184,500.

Previously, Recklaus was assistant city manager in Batavia for 10 years and then village manager in Clarendon Hills for three years. His initial contract with the village runs through November 2018.

Recklaus replaced Bill Dixon, who served 21 years as Arlington Heights' village manager.
