Students safe to return to Glen Ellyn school

A Glen Ellyn elementary school was temporarily evacuated Monday morning after a bomb threat.

Students were returning to Churchill School by late morning after the district detmined the threat was not creditable.

Student had been taken to Hadley Junior High School after the threat was initially made, however, the Glen Ellyn Police Department and the DuPage County Sheriff Department told the district that it was safe for students and staff to return to Churchill.

"The police have found no credibility to this threat and have called an all clear," the district said in a statement. "The police will have a presence at all of our district schools for the remainder of the day."

Churchill students and staff were slated to return to Churchill by bus at 11 a.m. to complete the regular school day.
