Chicago man gets 10 years for pimping in DuPage

The first of two Chicago men accused of pimping two 15-year-old girls in DuPage County last summer is headed to prison.

DeMarcus Feltus, 30, pleaded guilty Monday to the charge of involuntary sexual servitude of a minor and was sentenced by Judge Daniel Guerin to 10 years in prison.

Feltus and another man, Laburron Jackson, also 30, were arrested during a joint sting by the Aurora Police Special Operations Group and FBI called "Operation Cross Country," authorities said.

Assistant State's Attorney Jennifer Lindt said an undercover Aurora officer answered an online ad on June 19, 2014, and arranged to meet the girls at a hotel the following afternoon in Aurora.

In the day leading up to the arrest, Feltus said the four smoked marijuana and drank alcohol that he provided.

During his sentencing, Feltus said Jackson drove him and the two girls to the hotel about 12:30 p.m. with the understanding the girls would perform sexual acts for money and then split the money.

After speaking to the girls in the hotel room, the undercover officer determined they were both 15. The officer then gave a signal to other agents to approach the men as they waited in the vehicle. Jackson was arrested immediately and Feltus was caught after a brief foot chase.

"As soon as the girls got up in the room, the police pulled up," Feltus told Lindt in court. "I ran because I thought I had a warrant. I didn't know we were in a sting."

Feltus has been held on $500,000 bail since the arrest. He must serve half his sentence before being eligible for the three years of parole that will follow his sentence.

Jackson is still awaiting trial on similar charges.
