Hanover Twp. to distribute holiday meal boxes

Hanover Township will distribute holiday meal boxes to area low-income families Nov. 24 and Dec. 21.

Each box contains a 12-14 pound frozen turkey, canned fruits and vegetables, instant potatoes, stuffing mix, gravy mix, coffee and dessert.

Residents can pick up the boxes at the township's William Tiknis Campus on Route 59 starting at 8 a.m. and until supplies run out.

Those wishing to receive a meal box must present a valid ID and their food pantry card or utility bill. Each household is limited to one box.

People can also make a donation to the holiday meal box distribution project through the township's welfare services. A $16 donation covers the cost of one box.
