The confusing facts of transgender issue

There is an age below which "children" are not considered mature enough to have consensual sex. Though nudity does not necessarily constitute sex, the sharing of photos depicting personal nudity by phone is considered "sexting" and inappropriate for children under the "age of consent." Public nudity is illegal pretty much nationwide.

These are facts, not opinion.

Now there is a public demand to allow children under the age of consent the right to decide their own sex despite the physical form they were born with, and by proxy, to participate in public nudity with their physically sexual opposites. More fact.

Does anyone else see the questions all this should raise about consent, who is allowed to give it and who is forced to? Answer these questions only after deciding how the facts above are relevant.

Personally, I'm confused.
