St. Charles

• Arife Veapi, 28, of the 1700 block of Cumberland Green Drive in St. Charles, was arrested Nov. 9 on charges of retail theft.

• Joseph Richard Neubauer, 31, of the 35W300 block of Catalpa Avenue in St. Charles, was arrested Nov. 8 on charges of battery.

• Arnold E. Nutting, 47, of the 300 block of North Third Avenue in St. Charles, was arrested Nov. 7 on charges of public drunkenness.

• Lydia A. Honea, 21, of the 1800 block of Lucylle Avenue in St. Charles, was arrested on an outstanding warrant Nov. 5.

• Lisa A. Alsup, 31, of the 100 block of North Fifth Avenue in St. Charles, was arrested Nov. 4 on charges of retail theft.

• Justin R. Stark, 33, of the 1400 block of South 14th Street in St. Charles, was arrested Nov. 4 on charges of public urination.

• Minh Jalley, 52, of the 400 block of Gloria Lane in Oswego, was arrested on an outstanding warrant Nov. 3.

• Armando Zamudio-Barrera, 24, of the 600 block of Pierce Street in Aurora, was arrested on an outstanding warrant Nov. 3.

• Nelson L. Velez, 27, of the 500 block of Oak Crest Drive in North Aurora, was arrested Nov. 1 on charges of fleeing or eluding police, making an improper turn at an intersection, disobeying a stop or yield sign and disobeying a traffic control device, police said.

Elgin

• Juan A. Ledesma, 25, of the 500 block of Hawkins Street, Elgin, was charged Thursday with manufacture/delivery of cannabis and possession of cannabis, both between 30 and 500 grams, court records show. His bail was set at $50,000 in Kane County bond court, and he is next due in court Dec. 2.

• Omar S. Bouso, 26, of the 0-100 block of Creekside Drive, Elgin, was charged Thursday with false alarm/complaint to 911 and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. His bail was set at $5,000 in Kane County bond court, and he is next due in court Dec. 3.

• Taitiana L. Holbert, 23, of the 1300 block of Quincy Court, Elgin, was charged Thursday with retail theft; she is accused of taking more than $300 worth of merchandise from Speedway, 1570 Big Timber Road, court records show. Her bail was set at $20,000 in Kane County bond court, and she is next due in court Dec. 3.

Kane County

• Someone broke the rear window of a sport utility vehicle parked on the 200 block of Skyline Drive near Carpentersville between 12:01 and 6:18 a.m. Saturday, causing an estimated $1,200 damage.

• A resident of the 36W200 block of Fieldcrest Drive near St. Charles reported a case of identity theft and illegal use of a Social Security number after receiving a call from a Comcast bill collector at about 2 p.m. Sunday.

• A resident of the 14N500 block of Sleepy Hollow Road near West Dundee reported a case of identity theft after receiving a $489 bill for unauthorized charges at Macy's.

• Jerrel L. Holmes, 24, of the 200 block of McMillan Court, Cortland, was charged with driving with a revoked license and speeding after a traffic stop at 6:01 a.m. Sunday at Routes 47 and 64 near Lily Lake, according to a sheriff's report. Holmes also had four outstanding warrants out of DeKalb County, two for traffic offenses and one each for battery and possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Geneva

• Kyle E. Stryczek, 24, of the 2900 block of Foxmoor Drive in Montgomery, was charged with speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia at 2:02 a.m. Nov. 10 on the 700 block of West Fabyan Parkway, according to police.

• A $7,000 beer-dispensing device and a tank of nitrogen were stolen between July 15-17 from Buffalo Wild Wings, 820 Commons Drive, according to a police report filed Nov. 9.

• Lloyd D. Jones II, 30, of the 700 block of South Jackson Street in Batavia, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon at 6:50 p.m. Nov. 7 in a parking lot on the 1800 block of South Randall Road. According to a police report, he was arguing with someone and threatened the person with an 8-inch folding knife.

• Someone stole a $2,400 FusionChef sous vide cooker between 9 p.m. Nov. 3 and 11 a.m. Nov. 4 from Hache Moderne Brasserie, 524 W. State St.

• Dominic M. Castelvecchi, 18, of the 600 block of Cheever Avenue, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia - a 5/32-inch socket with marijuana residue - at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Ave.

• Nelson L. Velez, 27, of the 500 block of Oak Crest Drive in North Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, three counts of felony aggravated fleeing and eluding at 1:45 a.m. Nov. 1 on the 1300 block of Washington Avenue (Route 25) in Batavia; he is accused of trying to elude police in St. Charles and Geneva, according to a police report. St. Charles police asked Geneva officers for help detaining Velez. Geneva police say he was driving more than 21 mph over the speed limit on Route 25 through Geneva and drove through a red light at State Street. He lost control of his Pontiac Fiero, hit a drainage culvert, became airborne and hit a utility pole and a tree, officials said.

Kane County

• A resident of the 700 block of Schomer Road near Aurora reported at 12:30 p.m. Sunday that someone shot out a vehicle's rear window with a BB gun, causing between $500 and $1,000 damage.

• Seven chain saws and 150 feet of one-inch thick rope were stolen between 12:01 a.m. Nov. 5 and 10:54 p.m. Thursday after someone broke into two landscaping trailers on the 33W700 block of Reed Road near Geneva.

• Five rings valued at a total of $6,000 were stolen between 12:01 a.m. Nov. 5 and 10:54 p.m. Thursday from a home on the 8N100 block of Falcons Trail near Elgin.
