Mount Prospect entrepreneur on 'Good Morning America'

A Mount Prospect entrepreneur didn't get her 15 minutes of fame during an appearance on "Good Morning America" Friday morning - but she did get seven seconds.

Amy Olson, owner of Kuhfs - a fashion accessory company she started in 2013 - had a mere seven seconds to convince Mark Cuban of the hit ABC show "Shark Tank" of its worthiness during the GMA segment "Sell a Shark."

Kuhfs are decorated pieces of fabric that can be wrapped around the bottom of pants or the top of boots to add style quickly.

Cuban picked Kuhfs as the winner, besting a woman who was trying to market a back-scratcher.

"You've got a shot," said Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks and a regular on the "Shark Tank" panel of investors. "You could make some money on that."

Olson has pitched her product to "Good Morning America" before. This time, she found out she was going to appear on the show only two days earlier.

"What a whirlwind. The experience was fantastic. Fast-paced, but very well-organized and a lot of fun," Olson said by email.

There was no big prize or major monetary investment of money like on the actual "Shark Tank," but Olson did get to talk to Cuban for a few seconds after her appearance.

"It was just a pretty cool opportunity for national exposure," she said. "It was a lot of fun to show the world Kuhfs."
