Auditions for COD Spring College Theater Jan. 15 and 16

General auditions for College of DuPage College Theatre's spring productions of "Julius Caesar" and "Rumors" will be held 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, and from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, in the Studio Theatre of the McAninch Arts Center on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Callbacks, if necessary, will be held at noon on Sunday, Jan. 17.

William Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" will be staged March 3 to 20. Directed by Chicago actor/director Carl Lindberg, Shakespeare's epic tale of ambition, betrayal and consequence chronicles Caesar's return to Rome as dictator and his closest friends and peers efforts and struggles in arranging his assassination.

"Rumors" will be staged April 21 to May 1. Directed by College Theater Director Connie Canaday Howard, Neil Simon's tale of an anniversary gone awry follows a group of New York socialites as they try to conceal a scandal from the police and the media.

Both scripts contain adult language and themes. Auditions for both productions include cold readings with optional monologues. No experience is necessary. For more information, call (630) 942-4000. Each production is offered as part of the Theater 1120 class. Cast members are required to register in order to participate.

Support for College Theater is made possible by a generous gift from the College of DuPage Foundation's Dr. Donald and Helen (Gum) Westlake Fund for Student Productions.
