Des Plaines Food Pantry Tailgate Benefit Set for November 22
The 12th annual Tailgate fundraiser for the Self-Help Closet & Pantry of Des Plaines will be held on Sunday, November 22 at Club Casa, 353 N. River Rd., Des Plaines.
Doors open at 11:30am, with kick-off at 12:00pm between the Chicago Bears and the Denver Broncos.
Cost is $40 plus a nonperishable food donation and includes unlimited beer, wine and soda plus a halftime buffet and snacks throughout the game. Tickets also will be available for silent auction and raffle prizes. For tickets and further information, call 847/337-1443.
The Self-Help Closet & Pantry, located at 600 E. Algonquin Rd., has provided food and clothing to Des Plaines residents in need since 1971.
