Hindu festival of lights at Condell

Advocate Condell Medical Center will host a free Diwali Celebration from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, at the hospital conference center, 801 S. Milwaukee, Avenue, Libertyville. Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights, which is marked by four days of celebration. This event is made available by Condell's Mission and Spiritual Care Department and will include a performance by Poonam Mahesh, artistic director of Nrityanant, and her young students. The performing arts group specializes in the Bharatnatyam style of dance, which is a traditional art form in India. All community members and Condell associates are invited to take part in the celebration, which will also include refreshments.
