Palatine Celtic Soccer U16G Select Team Takes Indy by Storm

In a season where goals and victories have been hard to come by, all the hard work finally paid off as the U16 Girls Select Team from Palatine, IL descended upon Indianapolis, IN over this past weekend for the highly anticipated Indianapolis College Showcase. With ideal weather conditions all weekend long, the Palatine girls came out strong in their first match by over powering their opponent 4-2. In the next match they went up against a highly ranked team from Indiana and prevailed by a score of 1-0. In the third and last match of the tournament, Palatine sealed the championship with a 4-0 stomping over another Indiana foe.

Overall, the Palatine Celtic team was fueled by a strong defense and a potent offense that has been waiting to explode all season. Great passing, communication and an all-around team effort made this a weekend to remember. Congratulations to the girls from Palatine.
