Hampshire-Henpeck HCE to make holiday crafts for shut-ins

The Hampshire-Henpeck Unit of Kane County Association for Home and Community Education will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Heartland Bank, Route 72 and Warner, Hampshire.

At this month's November meeting, unit members will be assembling the festive Snowman paper-plate door hangings that will be distributed to area nursing homes and homebound shut-ins. This will be a fun and creative meeting. Let's craft! Remember your $17 membership dues.

Peggy Gross and Jan Ihssen will be the hostesses.

This year's Christmas luncheon will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Jamesons in Huntley.

At the October meeting, guest speaker Anne Versluys, a physical therapist from KishHealth System, presented a very informative program on home exercise, including exercises that can be done while sitting. Peggy Veach offered information on "What Can Eating Seeds Do For Your Body" and the Unit Lesson was on health insurance.
