Lake County canine unit a winner

Aftermath Services has given $5,000 to the Lake County Sheriff's Office canine unit as a result of winning a national contest. It was the group's fourth annual contest open to law enforcement agencies with canine units. Police departments in Colorado and Massachusetts took second and third place, respectively. Contest rules required participants to garner online votes for their canine teams. "This is another example of how public and private partnerships make for successful community policing," Lake County Undersheriff Raymond Rose said. "We are thankful to Aftermath for their financial support for law enforcement and we could not have won without the tremendous support we received from our employees, county employees, Facebook followers and community supporters. Thanks to all."
