Missouri man pleads guilty to 2 Illinois bank robberies

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) - A St. Louis man faces federal sentencing early next year now that he's admitted in court that he played a role in the robbery of two southwestern Illinois banks.

Fifty-three-year-old Marc Miller pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of bank robbery. He was ordered to remain held without bond, pending sentencing scheduled for Feb. 22.

Authorities say Miller helped a co-defendant in robbing two US Bank branches in Schnucks grocery stores - one in Edwardsville on Jan. 28, the other in Fairview Heights on Feb. 10.

Prosecutors say Miller let the co-defendant use Miller's vehicle during the holdups and accompanied him during them.
