Glendale Heights man faces child porn charges

A 48-year-old Glendale Heights man has been charged with distributing and possessing child pornography, authorities said Friday.

Glendale Heights police, working with investigators from the DuPage County sheriff's department, said Duane G. Lipinski, of the 400 block of James Court, was charged with one count of distribution of child pornography and three counts of possession of child pornography. He was being held in DuPage County jail.

Police said they were led to Lipinski, a registered sex offender, through an investigation initiated by Wheaton police. Evidence developed in that investigation was turned over to Glendale Heights police, who obtained a search warrant for Lipinski's residence.

The warrant was executed early Friday morning, police said, and investigators seized computer equipment containing numerous computerized files depicting child pornography.
