AllScripts reports 3Q loss
CHICAGO (AP) - Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. (MDRX) on Thursday reported a loss of $5.2 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had a loss of 3 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to 13 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 15 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 11 cents per share.
The electronic health records company posted revenue of $354.5 million in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Thirteen analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $354.9 million.
AllScripts expects full-year earnings in the range of 45 cents to 47 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $1.39 billion to $1.41 billion.
AllScripts shares have risen 10 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $14.09, a climb of slightly more than 4 percent in the last 12 months.
