Great Lakes Credit Union, Antioch Theatre host 'Peanuts Movie' benefit

Great Lakes Credit Union will partner with the Antioch Theatre for a benefit at the 1 p.m. showing of "The Peanuts Movie" Saturday, Nov. 7.

All proceeds will be donated to GLCU's charity partners: CU4Kids (a subsidiary of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals) and On Angels' Wings (a no-kill pet shelter in Crystal Lake).

"We are thrilled to partner with GLCU for this event. It's important to both our organizations to work together and give back to the community whenever possible," said Cindy Kottke, Antioch Theatre manager.

To bring in children of all ages to the benefit, GLCU is promoting a Kirby the Kangaroo coloring contest leading up to the event. The winner will receive a $200 Right Start Share Certificate (account) at GLCU. Each coloring page submitted before Saturday, Nov. 7 to the GLCU Antioch branch, at 351 E. Route 173, or the Antioch Theatre, at 378 Lake St., will count as one entry to win.

Coloring pages are available at the GLCU Antioch branch, the Antioch Theatre, or may be printed from www.bitly.com/GLCUCharityBenefit.

There is no purchase required to participate in the contest. One entry will be randomly selected at the benefit Nov. 7 before the movie. GLCU will contact the winner, so entrants need not be present in the theater to win.

Moviegoers are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time for the showing of "The Peanuts Movie" as it is expected to sell out. Tickets can be purchased at the Antioch Theatre or online at www.antiochtheatre.com.
