Learn about the Peck Farm history

Visit Peck Farm Park from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, for an in-depth look at the Peck Family and their legacy during "The Sense of Place" program.

Through hard work, skill and determination, the Peck family managed an award-winning sheep farm in the 19th and 20th centuries. Today, Peck Farm Park is a nature preserve and learning center chronicling the history of the farm and the Peck family. It's considered the jewel of the Geneva Park District.

Learn about the legacy of the Peck Family and the history of their land. Trish Burns, manager of Peck Farm Park, will lead this program on one of the most interesting chapters in Kane County's history.

"Learn from the Experts" programs are taught by experts in the field and offer in-depth information and learning opportunities about our local ecology. This award-winning program series is co-sponsored by the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, the St. Charles Park District and the Geneva Park District.
