Wauconda Lions fundraiser on Saturday

The Wauconda Lions Club will host the 34th annual Calcutta fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Countryside Banquet Hall, 28874 Route 120 (at Darrell Road), Lakemoor. The Lions Club was chartered in Wauconda in 1941 and has a long history and tradition of providing support to those suffering from hearing and sight disabilities, while also supporting many other community events and needs. The money earned at this fundraiser will be invested back into the community as assistance to those most in need. The Calcutta includes a reverse raffle, silent auction, prime rib buffet dinner, entertainment, and more. Tickets are $150 each.
