DVD previews: 'Inside Out,' 'End of the Tour'

Here's a look at DVDs coming out Tuesday, Nov. 3:

"Inside Out" (PG, 102 minutes, Pixar/Disney): Pixar's trippiest, most audacious animated comedy concerns the five emotions - Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black) and Disgust (Mindy Kaling) - who manage the feelings of Riley, an 11-year-old female hockey player. Contains mild thematic elements and some action. Extras include "LAVA" (theatrical short film): Inspired by the isolated beauty of tropical islands and the explosive allure of ocean volcanoes, this is a musical love story that takes place over millions of years; commentary with directors Pete Docter and Ronnie del Carmen and producer Jonas Rivera. Blu-ray adds "Riley's First Date?" exclusive animated short film; "Story of the Story" featurette; "Paths to Pixar: The Women of Inside Out" featurette; and "Mixed Emotions" featurette. Plus, "Mapping the Mind" in which the movie's artists take you through the yearslong process of designing and creating a world everyone knows, but no one has ever seen - the human mind; "Our Dads, the Filmmakers" behind the scenes with Elie Docter (daughter of director Pete Docter) and Grace Giacchino (daughter of composer Michael Giacchino); "Into the Unknown: The Sound of Inside Out"; "The Misunderstood Art of Animation Film Editing"; selected scenes; "Mind Candy," a montage of tool kit and interstitials produced for "Inside Out"; and trailers.

"The End of the Tour" (R, 106 minutes, Lionsgate): Jesse Eisenberg plays David Lipsky, a Rolling Stone magazine writer who spends five days interviewing novelist David Foster Wallace (Jason Segel) on a book tour in 1996. Contains coarse language, including some sexual references. Extras include commentary by director James Ponsoldt, screenwriter Donald Margulies and Jason Segel; "Behind the Tour" featurette; "A Conversation With Composer Danny Elfman"; and deleted scenes.

"Best of Enemies" (R, 82 minutes, Magnolia Home Entertainment): Documentary about the rivalry between pundits Williams F. Buckely and Gore Vidal, whose vitriolic verbal exchanges added drama (and ratings for ABC News) to the 1968 Democratic and Republican conventions. Contains obscenity, sexual content and nudity.

"Vacation" (R, 99 minutes, Warner): The Chevy Chase-starring "Vacation" movies get a lewd and crude reboot, with Ed Helms playing now-adult son Rusty Griswold, on the road with his own wife and kids. Contains crude and sexual content, coarse language throughout and brief graphic nudity. Extras include deleted scenes and "Georgia." Blu-ray adds "Return to Walley World," "The Griswold Odyssey" and a gag reel.

(documentary about a journalist confronting his anxiety about "sounding gay"), "Elf: Buddy's Musical Christmas" (stop-motion animated holiday musical movie), "An En Vogue Christmas" (En Vogue members play themselves in this holiday drama), "Four Warriors" (four Crusaders track down the kidnapper of an entire village), "The Golden Cane Warrior" (Indonesian martial-arts adventure), "Huevos: Little Rooster's Egg-cellent Adventure" (animated feature about a rooster trying to save his farm), "A LEGO Brickumentary" (Jason Bateman-narrated documentary about LEGOs), "More Money More Family" (a divided African-American family reunites), "The Nutcracker Sweet" (animated Christmas fantasy voiced by Alicia Silverstone, Edward Asner and Drake Bell), "Paper Angels" (holiday drama based on the true story of country music star Jimmy Wayne), "Paulo Coelho's Best Story" (biopic about the internationally acclaimed Brazilian author), "Seymour: An Introduction" (Ethan Hawke's documentary about his friend, pianist Seymour Bernstein), "Shelby" (a mutt escapes the pound on Christmas Eve and has to avoid the local dogcatcher), "She's Funny That Way" (comedic love triangle directed by Peter Bogdanovich), "Some Kind of Hate" (teen boy accidentally summons a vengeful girl from the grave), "The Story of Women and Power" (BBC documentary on the struggle for women's equality in Britain), "Tangerine" (Christmas Eve adventure with an L.A. streetwalker), "Tiger House" (gymnast tries to prevent the abduction of her boyfriend's father), "Toy Story That Time Forgot" (new Christmas tale with the "Toy Story" gang), "Uncanny" (female reporter is threatened by an inventor's jealous robot).

Television series: "Batman: The Complete Third Season (1967-68)" (final 26 episodes from the original "Batman" series remastered on a four-disc set), "Black Sails: The Complete Second Season" (three-disc set with all 10 episodes), "Californication: The Complete Series" (all seven seasons and 84 episodes on 14 discs), "Eastsiders Season 2" (12 episodes of the LGBT series), "I Love Lucy: The Complete Series" (29-disc collection includes all 180 episodes), "Star Trek: TOS - The Complete Series" (all 79 episodes on 25 discs).
