Probation, jail for Rolling Meadows car burglaries

A Rolling Meadows man admitted this week to burglarizing vehicles near Rohlwing and Kirchoff roads last summer.

Frederick Ali, 22, pleaded guilty to four counts of burglary and was sentenced to 24 months of probation and 101 days in jail, according to court records. Ali, who had no criminal background, was also ordered to pay $384 in fines.

Prosecutors say Ali took electronics including iPads and cellphones from the cars between May and July.
