Girls Night Out event benefits senior center

More than 175 women attended the 10th annual Girls Night Out fundraising event to benefit the Palatine Township Senior Center.

The evening, which took place at Durty Nellie's, featured a free photo booth provided by Picture Bugg Photo Booth, sponsored by Dennis and Carol Reagan; music by Loren Freeman with Event Mobile Sound, sponsored by Bill and Marla Gillen; hors d'oeuvres provided by Durty Nellie's; and chocolate, vanilla and raspberry mini bundt cakes donated by Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Many people visited the free pampering stations which featured mini-manicures by Mario Tricoci Salons and Day Spas, chair massages by Deignan Chiropractic, and lip pampering by Phyllis Benstein with Mary Kay.

There were 21 raffle items ranging from a bike to a handmade quilt, and lots of specialty items and gift cards. The "Cork Pull" Special Raffle was a hit, with all 54 bottles of wine and champagne selling within 40 minutes from the start of the evening.

"The event was an evening full of fun among friends, family and colleagues as they enjoyed music, food, drinks, photos and pampering stations, all while supporting the senior center and its very important programs," said Carol Reagan, executive director at PTSCC.
