Spend Halloween with the Schaumburg Park District

Take time for some spooky fun during the Schaumburg Park District's Halloween Boonanza, presented by Schaumburg Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Community Bank.

The event is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road and Safety Park, 421 N. Springinsguth Road.

Both locations will be transformed into a Halloween carnival featuring games, moon bounces, a haunted house and trick-or treating. Festivities also include a mad science lab, face painting and balloon twisters.

"It's a great alternative to trick-or-treating," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor. "You may come inside and still have a great time getting candy, playing games, making crafts, watching performers and having fun."

Preregistration cost is $10 per child ages 3 to 14 and $12 the day-of the event. Admission is free to parents and children 2 and younger.
