Wauconda hosts Trick or Treat on Main Street

Downtown Wauconda was alive with Halloween spirit Sunday during the fourth annual Trick or Treat on Main Street event.

The Village of Wauconda, Wauconda Park District and local businesses hosted the four-hour celebration for kids of all ages, adults and pets. Highlights included a haunted house, food, entertainment, a petting zoo, games, and, of course, trick or treating.

A pumpkin carving contest and a pet costume contest added to the fun, followed by pet parade presented by Bark 'N' Town Pet Resort and Day Spa.

Dancers from the Academy of Ballet performed "Monster Mash" and an awards ceremony closed out the festivities.
