Salata restaurant to open in Schaumburg Oct. 29
A second Northwest suburban Salata restaurant will open Oct. 29 at 140 E. Golf Road at the Shops at Copley Center in Schaumburg.
Salata, based in Houston, calls itself "The next generation salad bar" and invites customers to make their own salads and salad wraps.
To celebrate its grand opening, Salata will give away a free salad or salad wrap and signature drink to each of the first 50 guests in line beginning at 11 a.m. Oct. 29. Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The new 2,555-square-foot restaurant is locally owned and operated by franchisee Dan Campbell, who also operates the Salata at 1083 E. Lake-Cook Road in Wheeling.
