'Chicago,' 'Riverdance' return to Windy City in 2016

Two shows that became international hits in the 1990s are returning to Chicago next year in special 20th anniversary national tours.

"Riverdance - The 20th Anniversary World Tour" is currently playing in Europe and Asia, but the international Irish music and percussive dance revue plays the Windy City from Tuesday, April 5, to Sunday, April 10.

Also returning is Kander and Ebb's musical "Chicago," the longest-running American show in Broadway history. The touring version once again replicates the still-running 1996 Broadway revival directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking in the style of the show's original 1975 director/choreographer, Bob Fosse. "Chicago" runs from Tuesday, May 10, to Sunday, May 15.

Both productions play the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago. Tickets for groups of 10 or more are on sale now by calling (312) 977-1710. Individual tickets will go on sale at a later date. For more information, visit broadwayinchicago.com.
