Kurth directs Stevenson past Vernon Hills

Corissa Kurth dished out 14 assists on 33-of-34 setting and added 3 kills, and Stevenson's girls volleyball team defeated Vernon Hills 25-16, 25-14 in a North Suburban Conference crossover Tuesday night.

Isabella Milejczyk had 5 kills and 2 aces for Stevenson (27-8). Jori Radtke collected 3 kills and 3 aces, and Jordyn Taborek tallied 3 kills as well for the Patriots.

Grant d. Lake Forest: The host Bulldogs won 25-23, 28-26 in a thrilling North Suburban crossover, as Hannah Johnson racked up 6 kills and 4 solo blocks.

Kate Kiser set 48 of 50 with 21 assists for Grant, which also got 5 kills from Kylie Mueller and three from Jordynn Hundley. Taylor Drake had 3 solo blocks. Kelli Varney (1 ace) and Mueller were 13-of-13 and 12-of-12 serving, respectively. Varney also had 9 digs, while Megan Whitman tallied eight.

Mundelein d. North Chicago: Sidney Brunkow served 5 aces and added a pair of kills for the Mustangs in their 25-1, 25-6 North Suburban crossover.

Mackenzie Linane delivered 4 aces and 4 assists, Megan Nugent had 3 aces and Elizabeth Ramer contributed 2 kills.

Warren d. Round Lake: Kim Hengesh's 10 kills, 3 blocks, 3 digs and 3 aces led the Blue Devils to the 25-14, 25-18 win in a North Suburban crossover.

Jenna Walczak had 5 kills and 3 digs, while Claire Lundtveit and Natalie McNally contributed 4 kills apiece. Nicole Berzin and Allison Maan de Kok dished out 12 and assists, respectively.

Grayslake Central d. Woodstock: Marie Gerbasi slammed 11 kills, Allie Daul tallied 6 kills and 5 aces, and the Rams won the Fox Valley Fox match 25-21, 22-25, 25-18.

Morgan Anderberg added 15 digs and 3 aces for Grayslake Central, which also received 3 kills apiece from Shermaine Maristella and Nicole Cave. Lizzie Twardock dished out 30 assists for the Rams, while Amber Moser racked up 5 kills.

Prairie Ridge d. Grayslake North: The Wolves won 25-19, 25-12 in Fox Valley Fox action.

Grayslake North got 5 kills from Maddy Helm and 9 digs from Taylor Johnston.
