Friends of Volo Bog selling bird seed
The Friends of Volo Bog group is taking orders for 11 varieties of bird seed plus song bird grit and a squirrel mix. Order forms are available at www.friendsofvolobog.org or at the Volo Bog Visitor Center, 28478 W. Brandenburg Road, Ingleside. In addition to helping the birds, the sale helps to support education, habitat restoration and other activities sponsored by Friends of Volo Bog at the state natural area. All prepaid orders must be received by 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1. Bird seed orders can be picked up at the garage behind the Volo Bog Visitor Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8. Volunteers will be on hand to help load.
