Cross country: Harvest Christian wins NAC boys, girls titles

The Harvest Christian Academy boys and girls cross country teams swept the Northeastern Athletic Conference championship meet on Saturday, both winning championships.

Michael Sisko and Andrew Dobrescu finished third and fourth overall, Kyler Young finished sixth, and Connor Seals finished ninth to lead the Lions to a 20-point victory in the boys race.

Westminster Christian finished second on the boys side, and were paced by Tom Danner, fifth overall, and Jason Yaccino, who finished seventh overall.

Tanner Chada of Aurora Christian won the meet, finishing first overall with a time of 15:38.

In the girls meet, Harvest Christian placed four runners in the Top 10 to cruise to a14-point victory over second place IMSA.

Nubia Pollard took second, Rachel Higbee finished fourth, Hannah Nelson took fifth, and Cassidy Richter finished ninth to lead the Lions to the victory.

Christian Liberty's Isabella Wolke was the overall champion on the girls side, finishing first overall with a time of 18:35. Westminster Christian finished third in the girls meet, led by Sophie Danner's sixth-place finish.

Saturday's win was the fourth consecutive NAC championship for the Harvest Christian girls, and the third consecutive NAC championship for the Lions' boys.
