Fall Fest welcomes the season

Children leapt and cartwheeled into piles of leaves while others took to colorful wooded trails with their families on Saturday during Fall Fest at Red Oak Nature Center in Batavia.

The free, two-hour event featured multiple stations of fun fall activities and crafts throughout the woods. Many families went on a nature sensory hike along the Dolomite Trail, where they took in the colors, sounds and smells of the fall season. Others partook in a leaf scavenger hunt.
