Man found dead on Metra train was from Plainfield
A man found dead in a bathroom on a Metra train Thursday afternoon at the downtown Aurora Transportation Center has been identified as a 25-year-old Plainfield man, authorities said Friday.
Police said their investigation indicates Adam Castilla's death is related to narcotics; no foul play is suspected.
Castilla was found about 1:45 p.m. by railroad crews who were doing checks of the Burlington Northern rail cars after everyone had exited the outbound train from Chicago.
One of the workers found a bathroom door locked. When he knocked and received no response he unlocked it and was able to open it far enough to see Castilla inside.
The door eventually was removed, but authorities said Castilla already was dead. Police said they don't know where he boarded the train.
