Boys soccer: St. Charles East handles Elgin

St. Charles East 3, Elgin 1: Mitchell Dorsey, Michael Peters and Andrew Thuer scored goals for the Saints (13-4-2, 5-1) in their Upstate Eight River win. Steve Owens and Kevin Cook made 3 saves each in goal for SCE. Omar Gonzalez scored for Elgin (15-7-2, 2-3-1) and Jimenez Estrada had 6 saves in goal.

McHenry 1, CL South 0: McHenry converted on 3 of 5 penalty kicks to edge the Gators in Fox Valley Conference Valley Division action. Spencer Traub had 6 saves in goal for Crystal Lake South (10-8-4, 3-2).

Yorkville 3, Kaneland 1: Triston Powell scored Kaneland's goal in this NI Big XII loss. Kaneland is now 8-7-4 overall and 4-2-2 in the league.

Streamwood 3, Larkin 1: Aldo Lazaro, Donnie Sosa and Rafa Gil scored for the Sabres (9-6-4, 2-1-3) in the UEC River. Daniel Dominguez made 1 save in goal.

Huntley 2, Grayslake North 0: In an FVC crossover, Diego Cazares and Alan Barientos scored for the Red Raiders (14-5-1) and Andrew Fulcer had 1 save in goal.
