Strike a pose! Library hosts #GBBookFace Photo Contest
Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave. in Elgin, is taking entries for its "#GBBookFace" Photo Contest.
Replace your face or body with a book's cover and snap a photograph. Then post the photo on Facebook and/or Twitter, tag the Gail Borden Public Library (Facebook: Gail Borden; Twitter: @gailbrdnlibrary). Remember to use the "#GBBookFace" tag.
The winner of the grand prize will be chosen based on the most creative entry.
The contest will run through Oct. 31. All entries should be submitted on social media by midnight Saturday, Oct. 31. Multiple entries per contestant will be allowed and all ages are encouraged to participate.
Only contestants within the Gail Borden Public Library District will be considered for the grand prize, although anyone interested is more than welcome to submit photographs!
Creativity is encouraged for this contest. One grand prize winner, chosen based on most creative entry, will win a "Goody Basket," and the winner will be announced on Monday, Nov. 2, on social media.
The winner must provide a valid ID and Gail Borden library card upon pick-up of prize. Library staff and board members are encouraged to participate, but will not be able to win the grand prize. Upon submission, it is understood that the Gail Borden Public Library can and may use your photograph during contest time for promotion or to announce the winner.
