Purdue to become home to Indiana cybersecurity center

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - Indiana state officials say Purdue University will become home to a new cybersecurity operations center.

The (Lafayette) Journal and Courier reports (http://on.jconline.com/1REhyLx ) the center will be the new steward of Indiana's data. Details will be announced Thursday. Graig Lubsen is communications and marketing director for the Indiana Office of Technology. He says the center will be located at Purdue Research Park and staffed by students, faculty and state and corporate partners.

The center will be the first hub of the Indiana Information Sharing and Analysis Center in Indianapolis. The center is public-private partnership among the state, Purdue University and Intel.

About a dozen part-time jobs will be created. University spokesman Steve Tally says that number could grow.
