Authorities seek ID of woman hit by train in Elmhurst

Elmhurst police and the DuPage County coroner's office are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who was struck and killed by a train Oct. 9 in Elmhurst.

The victim is a 60- to 70-year-old white woman who weighed about 130 pounds and had white or light-colored hair. She was wearing blue jogging pants with a white nightgown with a laced bow and size 7 shoes.

Authorities said she had a Lina purse containing only a house key on an orange ring and eye glasses. She was not wearing jewelry and did not have any identification in her possessions, authorities said.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the victim is asked to call Elmhurst police at (630) 530-3050 or the coroner's office at (630) 407-2600.
